Selected for Carlow Eigse 2009 Film Programme; selected for 2009 Green Party Youtube Film Award

This film was made in response to Irish Biodiversity week - simple knowledge learnt about managing a woodland to increase biodiversity. Much of Ireland's woodland knowledge is long since lost - Cathy's work highlights sustainable, permanent, non-clear fell forestry, which is more established acrossthe EU.

Filmed in her own wood, Carlow, Ireland, see more at http://www.ecoartnotebook.com where she is converting her 20 yr spruce monoculture plantation into a productive and permanent, mixed species forest
