The Asia-Europe Foundation (www.asef.org) has initiated a joint reflection process in the cultural sectors in Asia and Europe on the vision of the sector with regard to involvement in issues of environmental sustainability. What do you think of the role of culture in climate change / moving towards an ecological age?
the arts is crucial in provoking behavioral change through the ability to create direct experiences, to propose innovative and creative solutions for doing things,for its collaborative approach and its power for creating civic engagement
What is your biggest concern re. climate change?
mankind moves often to slow to act...giving up on the 'normal' way of living
What is your biggest inspiration re. climate change?
That solutions proposed for a sustainable living can actually really promote the quality of our living and they way we live together...
What do you think you can do to help prevent / minimise climate change?
through initiating the programme in the asia-europe foundation, through becoming more vegetarian, through not having a care and taking public transport, through buying as much as possible local products (or regional, as singapore does not have much local food production)....
